Get ready for the biggest coffee party of the year! Join us at our Pop-Up Coffee Bar at Golden Belt in Downtown Durham on Thursday, August 20th for Barista Bash, a latte art throwdown extraordinaire featuring food, fun, prizes, and the Triangle’s best baristas performing feats of latte pouring and coffee cupping brilliance. The event is free and open to the public. All proceeds from the competition go to local charities Farmer Foodshare and Club Nova.

The competition is limited to 24 baristas, so show up early if you’re interested in participating! Sign-up begins at 7pm, and the Bash goes live at 7:30pm. Everyone is invited to compete with a minimum charitable donation of $10. The top three baristas take home bragging rights and swag bags full of fantastic prizes.

Latte art and coffee cupping competitions will be judged by local celebs Casey Steinbacher, CCE President & CEO and member of the Durham Chamber of Commerce, Chef Teddy Diggs, Executive Chef at Il Palio Restaurant/Sienna Hotel, and Reed Benjamin, Web Content Manager at Indy Week.

Spectators, expect some of your favorite food trucks (including KoKyu BBQ and The Parlour) offering special dishes prepared with Carrboro Coffee Roasters’ coffee (including KoKyu BBQ and The Parlour), door prizes, give-aways, and, of course, delicious coffee.

See you there. Coffee unites the world!
