Open Eye Café

Opened in 1999 in the space now occupied by Neal’s Deli, Open Eye Cafe was the first best espresso bar in town and quickly became known “Carrboro’s Living Room.” Offering a full selection of wine, beer, and teas, it now occupies the adjacent and much larger space on the corner of S. Greensboro St. in Carrboro. Many championship baristas have worked at Open Eye throughout the years.
