Scott Conary, President of Carrboro Coffee Roasters, will be appearing on Barista & Farmer, the first educational program and entertainment show focused on the world of high quality coffee. The show began filming in Honduras February 1st and will wrap on February 10th.

Barista & Farmer is an innovative show that tasks ten baristas, chosen from a pool of hundreds of applicants from around the world, with experiencing the daily lives of the farmers who grow the coffee they love to brew. Participants wake up early in the morning to work the coffee farm, followed by classes in the afternoon with world renown coffee pros at the Academy of Barista & Farmer.

Scott will be featured as a master roaster on the program, teaching afternoon workshops including Roasting and Coffee Cupping (tasting).

The show is being filmed in two areas of Western Honduras known for their high quality coffee, eco-tourism and intense beauty: Capucas, where the host is Cafe Capucas, and Copan Ruinas, where the host is Welchez.

The show will air online at baristafarmer.com, and will eventually be turned into a documentary.

You can follow along with Scott’s adventures on Carrboro Coffee’s Twitter and Facebook feeds.
